Although played without interruption the music falls into three sections. In the first section -Animé- there are dazzling and individual orchestral colorings, with complex rhythms which show negroid influece. The second section -Lent- opening with the solo viola, saxophone, and bassoon, may be compared with the slow movement of a symphonic suite, and suggest the sounds of the jungle at night. The third section -Tres peu Animé et bien rhythmé- opening with the solo bassoon and developing into a Samba rhythm, introduces the savage incantation of the chorus. It rises in intensity and after a broad ritard comes to an abrupt and dramatic conclusion» (cubierta posterior)Summary: Este disco formó parte del Mural sonoro expuesto en la exposición Antes de América: Fuentes originarias en la cultura moderna (6 de octubre de 2023 - 10 de marzo de 2024)
